Eurofund Group and Signal Capital acquire C&A unit at Rhein-Ruhr Zentrum, consolidating full ownership and operational control

  • Acquisition of the approximately 4,800 sqm C&A unit completes single ownership structure at RRZ
  • Transaction supports the ongoing repositioning and redevelopment strategy for the centre
  • Unified ownership enables more efficient asset management, leasing and long-term value creation

Mülheim an der Ruhr, June 09, 2026 – Eurofund Group and Signal Capital Partners have acquired the C&A unit at Rhein-Ruhr Zentrum (RRZ) from Redevco, bringing the entire shopping centre into single ownership and operational control for the first time.

The transaction includes the approximately 4,800 sqm retail unit located in the heart of the centre. The asset was previously under separate ownership and had not been included in the original acquisition of RRZ by Eurofund and Signal Capital. C&A and Deichmann will continue trading at the centre as one of the key anchor tenants.

The acquisition marks another important step in the ongoing repositioning and redevelopment of Rhein-Ruhr Zentrum and further strengthens the partners’ long-term commitment to both the asset and the German market.

With the centre now under unified ownership and management control, Eurofund will be able to implement a more streamlined and efficient approach to asset management, leasing and future investment activity.

“Bringing the entire centre into a single ownership structure represents an important milestone for RRZ. It creates the conditions for more efficient management and supports our long-term vision for the transformation of the asset,” said Olaf Ley, CEO Retail Germany at Eurofund

The acquisition also creates a simpler and more attractive ownership structure for tenants, partners and future investment activity, reinforcing the momentum behind the centre’s ongoing transformation.

Rhein-Ruhr Zentrum is currently undergoing a major repositioning process aimed at creating a future-oriented mixed-use destination for the Rhein-Ruhr region.
